Cast #4

Thanks John,

The Syracuse Men’s Basketball Team fell to Colgate on Tuesday, 80-68. Although the Orange outscored the Raiders in the second half, it wasn’t enough to hold off Colgate's explosive offense that shot 50% from the 3-point line. This is in contrast to the abysmal 32% that the Cuse shot from 3. While both the offense and the defense had an off night, Coach Jim Boeheim regarded the loss as a reminder that jacking up 3’s isn't the Syracuse brand of basketball.

Looking back at the game, it’s frustrating to see the Cuse lose to what many thought was an inferior opponent. The Orange were 7 and a half point favorites to win. Standing at 1-1 on the year, Syracuse will look to improve from their previous game as they prepare to play Northeastern this Saturday. Join us at 1:30 for the McClurg Team Countdown to Tipoff.

Tonight at 7, Women’s Basketball takes on Long Island University in the Dome, hoping to keep their season perfect. The Orange currently have a 3-0 record and boasts an offense led by Dyaisha Fair that has produced 81 points per game. Look for the Cuse to utilize their senior point guard heavily during this bout.

The Knicks won a nail-biter last night against the Nuggets, 106-103. Julius Randle was on all game, scoring 34 points and 11 boards. New York goes back to work tomorrow night against Stephen Curry and his Warriors.
