Cast #2
Thanks John,
To put it bluntly, the Friday night game between Virginia and Syracuse was a defensive chess match. Combined, the ACC schools had 6 turnovers and 3 touchdowns. While it was assumed the Orange would have difficulty with Virginia’s strong pass defense, it was surprising how the Cavalier offense seemed to stall early in the game. Virginia was held to a goose egg in the first half, which allowed Syracuse to squeak out a win, 22-20. Several factors led to a dynamic night for the Syracuse defense, but Head Coach Dino Babers said that under the Friday night lights, the crowd made all the difference.
Both Syracuse and Otto’s army move onto Wagner, where they plan to continue their stretch of victories. On paper, this Saturday seems like a breeze, but this will be a true test for the Orange, who hope to start the season 5-0 for the first time since 1987. Join us at 4:30 for Countdown to Kickoff.
The 18th-ranked field hockey team started the week with an easy 6-0 victory against Dartmouth. For the Orange, it marks their 8th win of the season, putting them at 8-2 overall. Coach Ange Bradley and her squad play 15th-ranked Boston College this Friday.
Last night, Aaron Judge made history and hit his 61st home run, tying Roger Maris for the most ever in a single season. With less than a week left, New York plans to close out their season with a bang, a particular one coming off the end of Judge’s bat.
